Why does children’s mental health matter?

Children understand, know and feel much more than most adults believe they do. As they develop, so does their mental health, and any support received during childhood will benefit them as they grow up, even into adulthood. Children who are supported are better able to cope, recognise and regulate their emotions, build stronger and more positive relationships with their peers, and perform better in school. 

During such times of uncertainty and darkness as we are facing now, the best thing we can do for children is to support them in learning how to cope with stress, anxiety and negative feelings. Triumfland Saga is a mobile app game created specifically for children aged 7-12 that can help support these things as well. Triumfland, the city in the game, is a safe environment for children where they can get to know themselves better and learn about mental health and wellbeing.
