Triumf Health has opened an equity funding round with the aim to raise €1-1.5M to be used in connection with public grants.

We at Triumf Health have created a mobile game to support chronically ill children. Through that game we offer behavioral therapeutics for pediatric patients. Our deep tech startup is led by dr. Kadri Haljas, the founder and CEO of Triumf Health.

RATES OF CHRONIC ILLNESSES AMONGST CHILDREN ARE INCREASING GLOBALLY

Every fourth kid globally is battling with a chronic disease (such as cancer, diabetes or asthma) and these numbers are rising rapidly. Estimates also show that every third kid is overweight, which in turn is one of the biggest contributors to lifestyle associated diseases.

Although different in their symptoms and treatment, all chronic illnesses have something in common – the mental burden. Around 60% of chronically ill children develop mental health diseases, which are often preventable but do not get enough attention until serious problems have already occurred. In addition, more than 20% never get treated for the accompanying mental health condition.

Therefore, the growing number of chronically ill children creates a situation in which the application of traditional healthcare delivery methodology is not anymore sufficient alone.

TRIUMF HEALTH’S MOBILE GAME IMPROVES THE TREATMENT OF CHRONICALLY ILL CHILDREN

Triumf Health offers a personalized approach to improve the treatment outcomes and empower ill children to live healthier lives by delivering digital therapeutics through a mobile game. The treatment monitoring and psychological support is hidden in the fun and engaging proprietary game, in which kids need to save the Triumfland city from the Disease Monster. Through this game we deliver our research-based content to educate, monitor and support patients in a personalized manner using machine learning. The algorithms analyze the big data and compile it to a Dashboard as an overview for the care teams at hospitals.

MOBILE HEALTH IS THE FASTEST GROWING SEGMENT OF DIGITAL HEALTH MARKET

The size of digital health market is anticipated to reach over 500 billion dollars by 2025 and of that, mobile health market is the most rapidly growing part.

We aim to reach 3 million children in short-term – 5 percent in Europe and South-East Asia where currently over 60 million children are battling with chronic illnesses. These numbers are significantly higher when obesity/overweight is considered.

Our long-term goal is to become the global leader in digital therapeutics for pediatric patients.

TRIUMF HEALTH’S MOBILE GAME HAS ALREADY PROOF-POINTS

Until today we have already completed our first multi-site scientific study showing the effect of the game on patients’ mental wellbeing and health-related quality of life. Another multinational clinical study, covering Denmark, Finland and Estonia is about to start among diabetics. Furthermore, we are also active in Singapore - running the clinical study in the National University Hospital.

Hence, Triumf Health solution is ready to be commercialized; the solution is available currently in English, Russian, Danish, Finnish and Estonian.

OUR BUSINESS MODEL ENCOMPASSES B2B CONCEPT, TARGETED TOWARDS HOSPITALS

Our customers are hospitals, paying for an annual license fee - the doctors can prescribe the Triumf Health’s mobile game as a digital medicine and use the dashboard for monitoring.

THE INNOVATION IS DRIVEN BY A TEAM OF INTERNATIONAL EXPERTS

There would be no Triumf Health without our wonderful team of international experts and advisors. We have developers, domain experts and psychologists in the team that allows us to innovate quickly and collaborate closely with patients, their families and the care teams at hospitals.
